Introduction | Topics and roles | Instructions | Process | Resources | Journal | Presentation |Conclusion | APA | Task Step 1- Before you begin your research, if you are not a well known person like Queen Elizabeth, give yourself a name. Then create other personal details like your age, occupation and appearance. NOTE: If you are a famous person, the personal details of your life will be part of your research. Either record those details on a word document and save them to a disc, or record them in your notebook now. Step 2 - So that your understanding of life in Shakespeare's time will be complete, you need to find information on the following specific sub topics. Remember to work cooperatively with your partner. You may want to divide the list of sub topics or each search different sources for information on the same sub topic.
Step 3 - start taking useful notes. This process is worth 10 marks so make useful, appropriate, notes. Go to the Notetaking page now. You will also need to create an APA reference sheet to hand in on the day of your presentation so be sure to record all of your reference sites as you go along. For help with your reference sheet go to the APA page now. Step 4 - Once you have gathered information on your topic, write your personal journal entries including the specific facts you researched. Your journal pages should reflect the role you are playing and will be naturally biased. For example, women may have resented being excluded from the theater. Perhaps the woman you have "become" for this project will complain bitterly about this in her journal. Either include your fictitious name in the journal or sign it at the end. Your journal should be a personal interpretation of historical facts. Step 5 - You and your partner need to start planning and preparing your class presentation. If you need any resources (technology, copies etc.) you will need to give your teacher at least two days advance notice. Good luck! |
