APA-Style Reference List

 

§         All sources researched must be included

§         At top of a new page, center the title Reference List in upper and lower case—do not underline

§         Alphabetize entries by last name of authors (or editors) or by the title if there is no author (ignore  A, An, or The)—don’t number the references

§         Capitalize the names of magazines, and proper nouns; but otherwise, capitalize first letter only

§         Italics for titles of books and titles of magazines

§         Indent the second & subsequent lines 5 letter spaces (“hanging” indentation)

§         Omit terms such as Press, Inc., and Co. (except for a university press)

 

A book by one author

A book by three or more authors
